This site is dedicated to the memory of our daughter Diane Lee Papin Martin, born March 2, 1953 and killed Mothers Day 1997. Our pride and joy was shot in the back of the head at close range by Tom Carlson. A coward who could not even look at her when he killed her. She was killed in the parking lot of the Lake Elsinore Moose Lodge. He is now paying for his crime with the maximum sentence for murder one.
As a youngster, Diane was often seen in the Jr. Handler classes and was very good with the animals. She has a special affection for the sighthounds and wolves.
One of my special memories is of a cute 3 year old running down the street of Stanton announcing to the neighbors that her mommy and daddy were getting married. She made me so proud when her natural father, I adopted Diane at one year of age, tried to get her back into his life after her mother and I divorced. She told him she already had a father and loved him very much. Miss you so much Lil Bit.
